A lucky bad mistake...

...that turned out ok in the end. Today had a full day of premiership games along with the Gretna vs. Celtic game. Before heading to play football myself I chucked a quid on a random line in the local Coral bookmakers. I'd put a few outside bets on (Bolton to beat Chelsea) but it was mostly just the favourites in the hope that the cumaltive odds would give me a little money back if I won. After pulling back a 2 Nil deficit in our own game to win 4-2  I listened intently to the radio for the latest scores at half past three. The news filtered through that Gretna had defied the odds and taken the lead. Horror turned to embarassment however when I pulled out my coupon and realised I'd ticked the box for Gretna to win instead of Celtic!! Multiplied in with my other picks my £1 bet was now looking at a possible return of £2000 if it came in. Unfortunately the rest of the lads in the car saw the coupon and instantly blamed me for the current score. Celtic managed to pull it out of the bag in dying moments of the second half but I guess had they lost,  two grand would have almost made up for the loss......almost.
